3. Bemis’s ADA Compliant Toilets
Bemis now offers 4 different ADA toilet options designed to Empower Independence and allow older family members to stay in their homes for longer!
They each come with support arms, replacing the need to install a wall-mounted support rail near the toilet. They’re super sturdy, ranging from a 300-pound to a 1000-pound weight capacity. Their Assurance model (pictured on the left) even comes with a bidet attachment for hands-free cleaning. Or, for a fully accessible, more advanced wash system, Bemis now offers the Empower bidet system, too.
4. Brizo’s Mystix Steam Shower
The Mystix Steam Shower will give you spa envy. The shower system has aromatherapy, chromatherapy, and audiotherapy capabilities! The Digital Interface itself is waterproof, and you can program it to hold presets for up to 12 different users.
5. Best of KBIS Finalist: Cubic Outdoor Living
Cubic Outdoor Living was a finalist for the Best of KBIS Awards this year! From outdoor kitchens to bar cabinets, to lounge furniture, to weatherproof storage, you can see their outstanding design sense shining through in all of their products.
6. Gladiator’s Step-to-Open Garage Fridges
Gladiator boasts the industry’s only step-to-open refrigerator and freezer. These uprights are designed to be large enough to hold food for an entire party, coming in at 17.8 cubic feet of storage per unit. Plus, the step-to-open design allows you to use the fridge even when your hands are full. They were designed for the garage, but they’re so handy, some customers have bought them to put them inside the house!
7. Kraus’s Under Sink Composter Prototype
If you wish composting were more time-efficient, then this is the product for you. At KBIS 2024, Kraus showed off the prototype for their under-sink composter that can turn your food scraps into compost in a matter of hours!
First, their composter filters out compostable waste from the water and other waste coming down the pipes. Then, the food particles are broken down in a 4-hour heating and drying process to leave you with nutrient-rich compost that’s ready for planting. This device even treats the compost with UV light and odor control filters to prevent any bad smells from entering your kitchen.
8. Peerless Faucet’s ADA Grab Bars
In the world of design for living in place, functional hardware is key. This year, Peerless Faucet showcased their gorgeous ADA hardware, such as these matte black grab bars! Truly a stylish way to ensure that you’ll be able to live happily at home for years to come.
9. Best of KBIS Finalist: Qoldfusion
If you’re a fan of the restaurant industry, you know that the walk-in fridge is the heart of any great kitchen. For years they’ve been too big or noisy to incorporate into residential design, but Qoldfusion is here to change that. Their Cold Pantry allows homeowners to customize their cold storage, including integrated beverage containers, stainless steel shelving, and an optional walk-in freezer column.
This year, they were a finalist for the “Game Changing Innovation” award at Best of KBIS. According to their CEO, this product has been almost 20 years in the making!
10. Richelieu’s Two-Way Cabinet
This two-way drawer slide is a game changer for kitchen islands. With Richelieu’s hardware, you can open a drawer from either side of the island for easier access to your kitchen storage. They’re also great for entertainment bars and pass-through shelves.
11. Best of KBIS Finalist: Zomodo’s Panama Prep Station
Last but not least is the Zomodo Panama Prep Station. This year, they were a finalist for the Kitchen Style Statement award at Best of KBIS. The Prep Station comes in a number of different configurations, letting you choose from cutting board sets, knife sets, oil/wine bottle holders, colander/ice buckets, food prep containers, and soap/lotion dispensers.
