With countless new innovations in the remodeling industry each year, it’s difficult to keep track of what the best products on the market are. That’s why we’re bringing you a list of all the remodeling favorites that our clients just can’t get enough of year after year! From small drawer organizers to larger “why didn’t we get this sooner!” products, here are 10 of the best products for your remodeling wishlist.
Kitchens
Touch Faucets
First up on the list is the smart touch faucet! This faucet adds masterful functionality to any kitchen, allowing you to turn it on even when your hands are full. It’s also voice-activated for even greater ease of use.
This touch faucet is battery powered, so it’ll keep working even in a power outage. It’s also designed to be long reaching – you can pull on the spout to extend it to be 9 3/16 inches long! This is truly a flawless faucet upgrade, great for both home cooks and takeout enthusiasts.
The Kessebohmer Pull-Down Shelf
When it comes to great storage additions, this one is a HArts Design+Build favorite. This is Kessebohmer’s pull-down shelf: a cabinet solution that allows you to store things up high and away, without you having to buy and store a stepladder.
After it’s installed, all you have to do is grab the handle and pull it down to reach your storage. Plus, it has a soft close feature on the return motion so that everything stays put on your shelves. Great for getting the most out of tall cabinets!
The Kessebohmer Rotator
Our next great product is the Kessebohmer rotator. It works like a Lazy Susan, with a few key enhancements like D-shaped trays and the lever-arm design. In a typical Lazy Susan system, you’ll get two or three trays mounted onto a single pole in the exact middle of the shelves. With the Kessebohmer rotator, though, the offset lever lets you optimize your storage space while maintaining the ease of use of a Lazy Susan.
Since it’s built with unique brackets, the Kessebohmer rotator is also easily customizable. If you ever want to change the shelves’ heights, all you need is a hex key! Then, you can simply adjust the shelf’s level as needed, and tighten it into its new position.
Baths
Towel Warmers
Heated towel racks aren’t just for hotels! A towel warmer will keep your towels fresh and add an elegant touch to your bathroom. Plus, they’re very energy efficient. You don’t have to leave it on all day to be effective, either. A heated towel rack can dry a wet towel in as little as 30 minutes.
Heated towel racks also come with great health benefits. When the heated bars warm up damp towels, they eliminate moisture and with it, potential mold. This means that you won’t have to wash your towels as frequently because they’ll stay clean for longer!
Overall, our clients love these because they improve wellness while providing a luxury shower experience, keeping you nice and warm as you’re drying off after a shower.
Heated Flooring
Along the same vein, another life-changing bathroom product is heated flooring. Unlike standard HVAC systems, in-floor heating uses radiant heat to regulate the temperature of your room.
This invention may sound like a hassle, but it’s surprisingly simple. Heated flooring can actually be fully installed in as little as 1-3 days! This is because modern heated flooring is designed as a thin sheet that fits under your existing floorboards. All the installers have to do is take up the flooring, put down the sheets, hook up the electrical, and put the flooring back in place.
Heated flooring is commonly used in bathrooms to prevent stepping onto chilly tiles with bare feet. However, you can also install heated flooring into bedrooms, living rooms, and kitchens to add more radiant heat throughout your home.
LED Medicine Cabinets
From doing your makeup to brushing your teeth, having great lighting in the bathroom goes a long way. That’s why one of our favorite products to include in remodels is lighted medicine cabinets. Pictured here is Sidler’s LED Medicine Cabinet, made with Swiss design and engineering.
These cabinets are a great practical storage solution. You can even customize these cabinet interiors with magnifying mirrors, USB and GFCI outlets, and cosmetic boxes. Plus, the mirror doors are double sided for added utility!
These cabinets are especially great in small bathrooms because of the way that they maximize storage space. Or, for a more discreet storage option, they also offer their cabinets in a tall, full-body mirror style.
All-Around Favorites
Undercabinet Adjustable Lighting
If your kitchen feels too dark, then this is the minor renovation for you. Undercabinet lighting is a great way to add task lighting to your counters when you’re doing food prep. What’s more, with tunable undercabinet lighting, you can actually pick the color temperature of the light and adjust it throughout the day! You can have bright white in the morning to help you wake up, and warm white in the evening to set the atmosphere for a dinner party.
Plus, for undercabinet lighting that’s even more handy, you can always opt for tunable white LED power strips. They add up to 8 undercabinet outlets per strip!
Recessed Can Lighting
If your lighting needs a bit more of an overhaul, then recessed cans lights are the way to go. These pack a punch in terms of brightness. They’re also compatible with a dimmer switch, so you can adjust the lights as needed.
Our clients also love them because they’re flush with the ceiling – that way, your eye settles on the beauty of the room, not the light fixtures. For large rooms like the kitchen pictured, you’ll often see lighting plots with an array of cans, spread out along the length and width of the room for maximum lighting.
They’re also handy because if you want to add decorative lighting like chandeliers afterwards, you’ll have a lot more options. You’ll be free to shop for fixtures without having to worry about them being bright enough to cover the entire room. Plus, the recessed cans’ flat design also makes them ideal for low-ceiling areas like basements and attics!
SPC Flooring
If your old flooring has to go, let us introduce you to the best-ever flooring solution you may have never heard of. This is Solid Polymer Core (SPC) flooring. The SPC boards are covered with finishes built to withstand stains and spills, resist scratches, insulate heat, and dampen sound.
With SPC flooring, you know you’re getting beautiful, comfortable floors that will last years and years to come. Plus, they look just as great as hardwood!
Soft Close Drawers and Cabinet Doors
This one is a little touch that never gets old. For doors and drawers that’ll glide smoothly and never slam, you need to get soft close drawers and drawers. The secret here is in the hardware. For cabinets, you can make your doors soft close just by installing a special hinge! They’re worth every penny for their quiet design, and the amount of wear and tear they’ll prevent on your cabinet doors.
That concludes our list of ten of the best products we recommend to our clients!
